Wayne C. Jenkins

Wayne C. Jenkins, age 86 of Beverly, died Dec. 24th at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Carole (Bullard) Jenkins, and Margery Ruth (Parsons) Jenkins with whom he shared 15 years of marriage.

Born May 10, 1936 in Lynn, he was the son of the late Samuel and Pearl (Pickel) Jenkins. Wayne attended Lynn schools and graduated from Lynn Classical High School,

Class of 1953; he also graduated from Bentley School of Accounting and Finance, Class of 1955. He served in the U. S. Army Infantry 1959-1961. Wayne was an Insurance Agent and operated his own Insurance Agency for many years. He was active in Lay Leadership at Lakeshore Park United Methodist Church in Lynn, and in recent years was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. He enjoyed running, walking, and bowling; when younger he participated in Weight Lifting Competitions.

In addition to his wife he is survived by one daughter Kim and her husband Ken Pohlot of Kent, WA; one son Mark and his wife Eleanor of Peabody; a sister-in-law Patricia  Jenkins of Peabody; three grandchildren David, Courtney and Kaitlin; and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Keith and Jay Jenkins, Gloria Marston and Jackie Dion.
