Tracy Kelly, age 80, of Nahant, formerly of Lynn and Salem, died Friday at the Jesmond Nursing Home, after a lengthy illness. She was the longtime companion of the late Robert Clay.
Born in Salem she was the daughter of the late Lucius H. and Mitzi A. (Alsburg) Whittredge, Jr. She grew up in Marblehead and graduated from Marblehead High School, Class of 1958. She was employed as a cook at Daka Food Service at St. Mary’s School for many years. She was a member of the Lynn Yacht Club and the Shamrock Pub bowling league. Tracy loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her son Philip T. Kelly, III, her daughters Lisa Kelly, Cindy-Ann Kelly, Stephan and Patrick O’Sullivan, Janel and John Murphy, Kathy and Joseph Carritte, sister Marcia Cole, two brothers Lucius “Buddy” Whittredge, David and Karen Whittredge, her grandchildren Joshua, Cierra, Deirdre and Jillian Kelly-Snow, Cole and Hester Murphy , Kaelin and Darcy O’Sullivan, Patrick, Sean and Ryan Carritte, eight great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by two sisters Marylou Surrettte and Beth Timmis.
The family is eternally grateful for the wonderful care she received at the Jesmond Nursing Home.
Tracy’s Memorial visiting hours will be held at the Parker Funeral Home 35 Franklin St. Lynn on Thursday from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial of ashes will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
