Timothy Spero Demakis of Topsfield, passed away February 5, 2020. He was born on May 19, 1925 in Lynn, MA. He was the son of the late Spero and Pota Demakis. He was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School and Northeastern University. He was a partner of the CPA firm of Demakis and Demakis in Lynn for over 50 years. He was well known and respected throughout the Lynn business community.
Tim was an active member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Lynn for many years. He was a member of the former New Meadows Masonic Lodge in Topsfield, and Budleigh Masonic Lodge in Beverly and Aleppo Shriners in Wilmington. He served as treasurer of the Logganiko Society for 30 years. He was a member of the Lynn Lions Club. Tim was an avid golfer and a member of Tedesco Country Club. He enjoyed traveling annually to Marco Island, Florida. Above all, he cherished time spent with family, especially his wife, children and five grandchildren.
Tim was the husband of Antonia Bouzianis Demakis with whom he shared 54 loving years of marriage. In addition to his wife he leaves his son, Jason and his wife Konnie, of Danvers, and their children Timothy and Nicholas. Son, Alexander and his wife Sheryl of Peabody, and their children Timothy and his significant other Laura Carter, Alexa and Vanessa. Brother in law, George Bouzianis and sister in law Mary Sagris, both of Ipswich. Siblings Dorothea Pechilis, of Lynn and William Demakis, of Swampscott. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings Louis Demakis, James Demakis and Elaine Grevelis.
Service Details: Services will be held on Saturday February 8, at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 54 S. Common St, Lynn, MA. Visitation from 9-11 am, and a funeral service to follow at 11 am. Burial at Cowles Memorial Cemetery in Ipswich, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl, Memphis, TN 38105 or Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 51 Blossom St, Boston, MA 02114.
