Thomas J. Lynch, age 65, of Lynn died Saturday morning at Salem Hospital after suffering a heart attack at home. Born in Lynn he was the son of the late A. James and Patricia A. (Newhall) Lynch. Tom graduated from St. John’s Prep High School, Class of 1973, and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Merrimack College, Class of 1977. After graduating from Merrimack he went to work full time at the family business A. James Lynch Real Estate and Insurance where he was still working at the time of his death. He was a member of the Lynn Rotary Club, Lynnfield-Zetland Masonic Lodge, and a communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Lynnfield. Tommy was an avid New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan and was a former season ticket holder of both teams. Tommy enjoyed skiing at Sunapee Mountain, selling real estate, bowling, spending time with his friends and family, and loved attending his two nephews sporting events and activities. He also loved great adventures with friends enjoying the beautiful beaches of Puerto Rico.
Kindness means different things to different people. The meaning is in how you choose to show it. Tommy showed through empathy, acceptance, kind gestures and thoughtfulness. He will be greatly missed!!
He is survived by two sisters Maura P. Lynch and her wife Pamela Adams of Lynnfield, Karen E. Lang of Lynnfield, two nephews Max T. and Grant A. Lang both of Lynnfield, two uncles Owen and his wife, Ann, of Lynnfield, Edward and his wife, Elizabeth Cullinan of Lynn, one aunt, Marie Wall and her husband, John, of Marblehead, and many cousins and longtime friends.
Service Details: Due to the restrictions put in place by the CDC concerning Covid, funerals services will be private. Tom’s family will be hosting a Celebration of his Life in the spring/summer of 2021, when we can all gather safely. Tom would want us all to be able to be together and remember him in a relaxed and stress free way.
