Thomas D. Dow, Sr. age 79 years, of Danvers, formerly a long-time resident of Lynn died Wednesday, 4/1/2020, at the Lahey Medical Center in Burlington, MA from complications due to the COVID-19 virus. Born in Swampscott he was the son of the late Everett A. and Etta M. (Connell) Dow. Tom attended Swampscott schools and was part of the graduating Class of 1959. He enlisted in the United States Army and served overseas during the Vietnam War. He was employed as a salesman at Millbrook Distributors for many years until he retired. In his younger years, he enjoyed camping in the mountains of New England, especially the White Mountains of New Hampshire. He loved his family and the pets they shared throughout the years. He enjoyed building military tank models and was very proud of being a US Army veteran.
He is survived by two sons Thomas D. Dow, Jr. of Lynn, Ted D. Dow of Uxbridge, two daughters Teree D. Dow of Lynn, Tammy D. Dow of Pembroke and her fiancée, David Elliott, a sister Judee A. Cyr of Swampscott, three grandchildren, Jack Dow, Luke Dow, Sam Dow, two nephews, Darren Cyr, Scott Cyr and one niece, Susan (Cyr) Maher and their families. He was predeceased by his son, Terence D. Dow and his brother-in-law, David P. Cyr.
Service Details:Funeral Services will be held at the Parker Funeral Home 35 Franklin St. Lynn at a date and time to be announced, followed by interment at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park.
