Teresa M. Brown of Nahant formerly of Lynn passed away Tuesday June 20th at the Jesmond Nursing Home in Nahant after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Warren H. Brown with whom she shared 54 years of Marriage.
Born in Lynn April 23, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Napoleon and Emelia (Tessier) Brault. She attended schools in Lynn and graduated from St. Mary’s High School. Terry worked for the Lynn Public School Department for 25 years while raising her 8 children, with none of the “luxuries” of a washing machine, clothes dryer or dishwasher. She was fun-loving, talented, tenacious, and a fierce advocate for her children. She played the piano by ear, taught herself how to type, to secure a job in the school her children attended. Despite her fear of driving and swimming, at the age of 60 she got her driver’s license and taught herself to swim. She set a good model of hard work perseverance, determination, and independence for her children and grandchildren. Terry was an avid reader, loved to dance, and do crossword puzzles. She cherished the time spent with her family enjoying holidays and vacations.
She is survived by 3 daughters and three sons Rhonda M. Epsimos, Warren H. Brown Jr. and his wife Mary, Michael F. Brown, Janine L. Brown-Smith, Stephanie A. Brown and her fiancé James Dibello, and Robert C. Brown, 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was also mother of the late Mark S. Brown and David P. Brown, and grandmother of the late Christopher Epsimos.
Service Details: Friends and family are invited to attend memorial visiting hours at the Parker Funeral Home 35 Franklin St. Lynn on Sunday from 12:00 – 3:00 PM. A Memorial service will be held during visiting hours.
