Susan P. Adamopoulos, of Lynn, age 53 died unexpectedly Thursday Jan 23rd at Salem hospital. She was the wife of Louis L. Adamopoulos with whom she shared 32 years of marriage. Born in Saugus she was the daughter of Charles T. Nelson of Topsham, ME, and the late Claire (Dow) Nelson. She attended Lynn schools and graduated from Lynn Classical High School, Class of 1985. She also attended North Shore Community College and studied medical terminology. Susan was employed at Verizon in Middleton as a proof reader/editor for 13 years, and then at Salem Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital as an Administrative Assistant, where she was presently employed. She enjoyed interior decorating, arts and crafts, going shopping and walks on the beach. She also loved to cook for and spend time with her family.
In addition to her husband and father she is survived by one daughter Melanie Adamopoulos and her fiancé Marquise Dennis of Beverly, two brothers Mark and his wife Jennifer Nelson of Harpswell, ME. Michael and his wife Gina Nelson, four sisters Shari Nelson of Topsham, ME, Candace and her husband Scott Miller of Lynn, Diane Crane of Bangor, PA, Debra Nelson of Bangor, PA, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also sister of the late Charles Nelson.
Service Details: Visiting hours were held at the Parker Funeral Home 35 Franklin St. Lynn on Wednesday from 9:00 – 11:30 AM, followed by funeral services at St. George Greek Orthodox Church at 12:00 PM, following Covid Guidelines recommended by the CDC and the City of Lynn.
