Stella Agatha (Jarzylo) Collins

Stella A. Collins age 95, of Lynn and Vero Beach, FL died Sunday Dec. 8th at the Jesmond Nursing Home in Nahant after a lengthy illness. Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Stefan and Frances (Lemanski) Jarzylo.  She attended Lynn schools and graduated from Lynn Classical High School, Class of 1942.  Stella was employed as Office Manager at Stop & Shop Supermarkets in both Lynn and Salem for 31 years until she retired in 1984.  After retiring, she moved to Vero Beach, FL for 20 years returning to Lynn in 2005.  She was a communicant of the former St. Michael’s Church in Lynn.  Stella enjoyed knitting, playing bingo, crossword puzzles, cooking and gardening.

She is survived by one daughter Stephanie Clark of Lynn, one sister Joanne M. and her husband Richard Barry of Framingham, 12 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was also mother of the late Michael, John and Kevin Collins, and sister of the late Walter “Shorty” Jarzylo, Hedwig A. Drozdowicz, and Anna

F. Jarzylo.

Service Details:  Funeral from the Parker Funeral Home, 35 Franklin St. Lynn on Monday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church in Lynn at 10:30 a.m. to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.  Anyone wishing to may make a memorial donation in Stella’s name to My Brothers Table, 98 Willow St. Lynn, MA 01901
