Roy W. Pahlm, Jr. age 88, of Lynn, died Thursday, Oct. 26th at Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, surrounded by his family, after a brief illness. He was the husband of Catherine Ann (Ramsey) Pahlm with whom he shared 58 years of marriage.
Born in Revere he was the son of the late Roy W. Pahlm, Sr. and Florence (Monteith) Pahlm Cameron. Roy attended schools in Revere. He was a self-employed auto mechanic and also was employed by Tom’s Taxi in Lynn and Landry Hire-a-Tool on Bennett St. in Lynn for many years until he retired in 2002. A motorcycle enthusiast he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Panhead and Kawasaki, and looked forward to going to Motor Cycle Weekend in Laconia. He also enjoyed fishing, swimming, working in his garage, and most of all loved spending time with his family and extended family.
Roy was pre-deceased by two sons Roy W. Pahlm, III and Dale Stephen Gallien, his brother Richard “Dickie” Pahlm, and grandson Dana Gallien.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters Jody Lynn and her husband Brian Faulkner of Saugus, Johnnieann and her husband Brian Pahlm-Martin of Lynn, brother-in-law Bruce Reback of Lynn, daughter-in-law Doreen Gallien of Peabody, 8 grandchildren Robert L Hill of Lynn, Derek Gallien of Peabody, Rachal E. Watson of Lynn, Chelsey C. and her husband Christian Cyr of Swampscott, Kelsey L. Martin of Lynn, Keith R. Watson of Saugus, Angelina Martin of Lynn, Rita Vasserman of Lynn, four great grandchildren Kai, Eva Marie, Amelia and Brandon Gallien, like a son Ralph Sanchez of Lynn and many nieces, nephews, cousins and his Lowell Street family.
Service Details: Roy’s visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 2:00 – 6:00 PM at the Parker Funeral Home 35 Franklin St. Lynn, to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. In Lieu of flowers please make memorial donations in Roy’s name to the American Cancer Society.
