Mary L. Suffreti, age 77 years, of Peabody, formerly of Lynn, died Sunday Oct. 15th, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers after a lengthy illness. Born in Lynn she was the daughter of the late Maurice T. and Johanna (Ferguson) Mulcahy. She attended Lynn Schools and graduated from Lynn Classical high School; she also graduated from Essex Agricultural School, and earned an Associate’s Degree in Cosmetology and Hairdressing. Mary was employed as a hairdresser at Joseph’s Hair Salon in Swampscott, as a waitress at Heck Allen’s in Saugus, and was the activities director at Crestview Nursing Home in Lynn until she retired. A lifelong resident of Lynn, she enjoyed bingo, playing cards and solving crossword puzzles. She is survived by one son Rodney M. Suffreti, one daughter Rhonda M and her husband Jason Allen of Seabrook, one brother Dennis and his wife Kathy Mulcahy of Peabody, one sister Marcella Mulcahy of Lynn, seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Anthony J. Suffreti and Johanna Lynn Suffreti.
