Margaret (Withey) Smith

Margaret Smith, age 92 years, of Lynn passed away Monday March 26th, at Sunrise at Gardner Park in Peabody after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Warren K. Smith with who she shared over 70 years of marriage.

Born in Chicago she was the daughter of the late Louis and Margaret (Gaa) Whithey. She attended schools in and graduated from high school in Chicago. Margaret moved to Lynn in 1944. She was a longtime member of the Community Covenant Church in West Peabody. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and visited many of the National Parks in the United States, She also enjoyed going on cruises and visiting her sister in Lajolla , CA. Margaret loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by three daughters Nancy A. and her husband Donald Gayron of Danvers, Marsha J. and her husband David Hallahan, Laurie J. and her husband Doug Paris of Middleton, one sister Frances Abell of Lajolla, CA, seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Service Details: Funeral services will be held at the Parker Funeral Home 35 Franklin St. Lynn on Monday at 11:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation prior to the service from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
