M. Theresa (Campbell) DeCost

M. Theresa DeCost, age 92, of Salem, formerly of Lynn, died Saturday July 4th, at Advinia Care in Salem after a lengthy illness, due to complications from Covid 19. She was the wife of the late Richard DeCost with whom she shared 63 years of marriage.

Born in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada she was the daughter of the late John W. B. and Mary (McLean) Campbell. She was educated in Canada. Theresa was employed ath Hawthorne by the Sea Restaurant and Doanes in Swampscott. She was also employed as a Home Health Care Aide. Theresa was a long time member of St. Mary Church in Lynn. She enjoyed Astrology, Cooking and Irish Music.

She is survived by one daughter Donna M. DeCost of Salem, one son Gerard J. DeCost of Lynn, two grandchildren Jessica DeCost of Salem, and Jack DeCost of Swampscott, and several nieces and nephews. She was also mother of the late John and Richard DeCost.

Service Details: A private Funeral Mass was held at St. Mary Church in Lynn, burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery.
