Linda M (MacNeill) Thistle

Linda M. Thistle, age 81, of Lynn died Monday May 29th at her home after a brief illness. Born in Lynn she was the daughter of the late Neil and Ella (Parsons) MacNeill. She attended Lynn Schools and graduated from Lynn Classical High School, Class of 1960. Linda was the store manager at Dunkin Donuts on Boston St. in Lynn for many years until she retired in 2007. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Lynn. Linda enjoyed watching Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, Western movies and listening to Country Music and Gaither’s Group Gospel Music. She also loved spending time with friends and family.

She is survived by three sons Harvard “Sam” L. Thistle Jr. of Cape Cod, David J. Thistle, Kenneth and his wife Andrea Thistle of Billerica, one daughter Lori Ernsberger of Lynn, two brothers Donald and his wife Claire MacNeill of FL, Otis and Bonita MacNeill of Arkansas, sixteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was also mother of the late Cheryl Poppel, and sister of the late Neil MacNeill, Mary Chandler, Jean Savio, Marjorie Ann Pelkey, Priscilla “Libby” Thistle, Ella Mae Sewell and Frances Perkins.

Service Details: Visiting hours are at the Parker Funeral Home 35 Franklin St. Lynn on Wednesday from 4:00 – 7:00 PM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Funeral services and burial of ashes will be private. In Lieu of flowers please make memorial donations in Linda’s name to Care Dimensions 75 Sylvan St. Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.
