Lelia Pendleton Howard was born Oct 16, 1921 and was married to her beloved husband,Lloyd for 76 years. They had three daughters, Pamela Wilcox (Charles), Deborah Benson (Alan) and Cynthia Marshall(Stephen), 10 grandchildren and their spouses, and 23 great grandkids.
Lelia was a lifelong resident of Lynn MA, graduating from Corbett Jr High, Lynn English HS and secretarial courses at the GE Riverworks Plant, where she worked for several years before she married.
She was an active volunteer, as well as a homemaker for many years. She proudly served on the Women’s Board of Volunteers at the Union Hospital in Lynn and held the office of President for several terms. She also was involved with the Essex County Chapter of Girl Scouts and served on many boards at the East Baptist Church in Lynn, her place of worship since birth.
Lelia and her husband also lived in Hobe Sound, Fl for 35 years during the winter months. She was active in the Womens Club, played bridge and took water aerobics.
In addition, Lelia travelled with her husband, family and many friends all over the world.
She was a wonderful hostess and had the love and respect of all who came in contact with her.
She will be sorely missed, but long remembered.
Services will be held Wednesday October 26th at the East Baptist Church 300 Western Ave.
Visitation from 10:30 – 11:30 MA, followed by services at 11:30 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend.
