Kenneth E. Joyce

Kenneth E. Joyce, age 87, of Salem, formerly of Lynn, died at his home after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Sally B. (Sinkus) Joyce with whom he shared 39 years of marriage.

Born in Lynn he was the son of the late Raymond and Stella (Day) Joyce. Ken attended Lynn schools and graduated from Lynn English High School, Class of 1950. He enlisted in the US Army and served during the Korean War. Ken was employed as a salesman at Gem Auto Parts in Lynn, Chelsea, Wakefield and Dorcester for many years until he retired in 2000. He was an active member of the First Church of Christ in Lynn Congregational, and volunteered at Salem Hospital form many years. Ken enjoyed bowling, and loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his son Steven M. and his wife Ellen Joyce of Nottingham, NH, one daughter Debra A. and her husband Pedro Joyce-Jimenez of Salem, three grandchildren Amanda, Sophia, and Angelina Jimenez all of Salem, one  step granddaughter Christianna McMorran of Nottingham, NH, and several nieces and nephews. He was also the father of the late Jennifer J. Joyce-Haynie.  

Service Details: Private Funeral Services will be held at the Parker Funeral Home 35 Franklin St. Lynn. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery
