Joseph J Walters

Joseph J. Walters, Jr., 57, of Lynn, MA, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023 surrounded by loved ones after a lengthy illness.

Born and raised in Lynn, Joe was a graduate of Lynn Tech’s class of 1983 and was employed at Cardinal Health for many years.

Joe was passionate about his Harley and took advantage of any opportunity to go for a ride and feel the wind in his (often long) hair.  He was an avid darts fan and spent many nights shooting darts as part of the Minute Man Dart League, winning many championships in his time.  In his downtime, he enjoyed taking his dogs for walks at Lynn Beach or Lynn woods with his friends, playing horseshoes, attending concerts and Bruins games, watching Red Sox and Patriots games, and getting together with his beloved friends as often as possible.  Joe had a huge heart and would go above and beyond for his friends and family, he was always happy to help in any way possible just to see you smile.  In recent years he devoted much of his time to caring for his mother and learning to love trips to Foxwoods and playing Bingo.  He was an amazing father, son and friend to many.

Joe will be profoundly missed by his daughter Courtney Walters, his loving mother Grace Walters (Landry), his dog Junior, his niece Dorien Manzo, many beloved cousins, aunts and family members as well as an amazing group of lifelong friends whom he considered family.  He is predeceased by his father Joseph J. Walters, Sr., his lifelong best friend/brother Mike Boisclair, and his beloved dog T.J.

Services will be held at Parker Funeral Home, 35 Franklin St., Lynn, MA on Thursday, January 19th from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. with a celebration of life gathering to follow at the Italian American Citizens Club, 7 Blaney Ave., Peabody, MA from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
