Jean Dumas Lacombe, age 83 years, of Lynn died Thursday February 27th at Salem Hospital after being stricken at home. He was the husband of Violette B. Lacombe with whom he shared 57 years of marriage.
Born in Haiti he was the son of the late Doule Lacombe. Jean was employed as a self-employed stone mason while he was living in Haiti. He moved to the United States in 2007 and has resided in Lynn ever since. Jean enjoyed watching and playing soccer, and listening to music especially carnival music.
In addition to his wife he is survived by six sons Ernest Lacombe of Brockton, Lionel Lacombe of Wakefield, Jean Claude, Jean Fils, Yves and Steven Lacombe all of Haiti, seven daughters Justine Lacombe of Lynn, Patricia, Marjorie, Love, Meralda Lacombe all of Haiti, Dufort Lacombe of New Jersey, Yanick Lubin of Everett, Mary Claudette Fequire of Haiti, one sister Yvela Lacombe of New York, 17 Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Service Details: Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church 7 Park Street Lynn on Saturday March 14th to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours will be at the Parker Funeral Home 35 Franklin Street Lynn on Friday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM
