Gladys Elaine (Brown) LeJeune

Gladys E. LeJeune, age 88 years of Lynn died Tuesday Sept. 12th at the Abbott House Nursing Home in Lynn after a lengthy illness. She was wife of the late Paul J. LeJeune with whom she shared 44 years of marriage.

Born in Lynn she was the daughter of the late Loretta M. (Brown) Kaplan and the late Ralph L. Northey. Gladys attended schools in Lynn and graduated from St. Mary’s High School, Class of 1952. She was employed at the General Electric both before and after serving in the United States Navy during the Korean War, stationed in Washington, DC. She was also employed at the Sears Credit Card Office in both Lynn and Salem as a Legal Specialist until she retired in 1999 due to illness. Gladys was a lifetime member of both Amvets Post #161 and the Amvets Ladies Auxiliary and she held offices on both the local and State levels. She was an active member of the former St. Jean Baptiste Parish for many years and served on many committees.

She is survived by her daughter Linda and her husband Michael Cutone of Tewksbury, her son Paul and his wife Lisa LeJeune of Lynn, four grandchildren, Sean and Meghan Cutone and Emiline and Ethan LeJeune.

Private services were held at the Parker Funeral Home 35 Franklin St. Lynn, burial followed in Pine Grove Cemetery. Please make memorial donations in Gladys’ name to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude’s Place Memphis, TN 38105.
