Elizabeth L. (Pinto) Nery

Elizabeth L. Nery, age 65 years, resident of Lynn passed away Wednesday, surrounded by her family and her loved ones at Salem Hospital. She was the wife of the late Paulo A. Nery with whom she shared 45 years of marriage.

She was born in Brazil, and she is the daughter of the late Joaquin Luiz Pinto & Augusta Carmelina de Jesus.  She was educated in Brazil, got married to her husband and moved to the United States 27 years ago in 1995. She owned and operated several Brazilian Restaurants as well as being a homemaker at home. Elizabeth loved singing and going to the Church. She liked parties and cooking for and with her family, as well as spending time with them especially the grandchildren.

Among many of her qualities, she was very dedicated to her family, a very happy woman, believed in God, was extremely persistent, lovely, transparent, kind, she loved life in every way!!

She is survived by two daughters Geli Saroufim and Leda Nery, and two sons Guderian Nery and Gutemberg Nery, seven grandchildren: Elias Saroufim, Nicolas Saroufim, Yasmin Saroufim, Rania Saroufim, John Saroufim Jr., Jeremiah Leary and Fiorella Nery. Elizabeth is also survived by her Five sisters: Leila Pinto, Maria Schrodder, Silvana Pinto, Jacqueline Cummings, Edimeire Kayata, and Three brothers Donizete Pinto, Cleuber Pinto and Jerry Pinto. She was also sister of the late Leda Pinto.

Service Details: Elizabeth’s visiting hours will be held at the Parker Funeral Home 35 Franklin St. Lynn, MA on Monday from 9:00 Am – 12:00 PM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend followed by Memorial Services at Pine Grove Cemetery.
