Elaine C. (Campbell) Little

Elaine C. Little, age 93, of Peabody, formerly of Lynn and Ft. Myers, FL, died Friday at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, following a brief period of declining health. She was the wife of the late A. Gordon Little with whom she shared 55 years of marriage.

Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Ruth E. (Sederquist) Campbell, and her birth father Leon Gouzoulous. Elaine attended Lynn schools and graduated from Lynn English High School, Class of 1945, and graduated from Salem Hospital School of Nursing Class of 1948. She was employed as a registered nurse beginning in the Maternity Ward at Salem Hospital, then as a VNA nurse for the City of Lynn. She was a stay at home mother and wife for many years before returning to nursing at Union Hospital in Lynn, and the American Red Cross in Peabody.

She was an active member first at the Johnson Street Covenant Church of Lynn and then at the Community Covenant Church in West Peabody. She sang in the choir, was a youth group leader and a member of the Covenant Women’s Group. She loved to sing, dance and perform in musicals, and in later years was very involved with the shows at the Torigian Senior Center in Peabody. She enjoyed spending time at the beach especially Fisherman’s Beach in Swampscott where she met her husband Gordon many years ago. In recent years, she enjoyed fishing excursions with family and friends from the Lynn Yacht Club.  Her greatest love was spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to celebrate family birthdays and holidays with her family all around her. She was dearly loved by family and friends.

She is survived by three daughters Cynthia J. and her husband Alfred “Butchie” Robertson of Lyman, Maine, Heather J. Esbjorn of Manchester, NH, Melinda J. and her husband Richard D. Parker of Lynn, four grandchildren Jennifer and her husband Randall Wilkins of Warren, PA, Michael G. McIntyre of Southwick, Kristin Esbjorn of Manchester, NH, Lindsey G. Esbjorn of Merrimack, NH, four great grandchildren Kharma and Alexander Wilkins, Esmeral and Amara Danek, many nieces and nephews and wonderful Caregivers: Marion Jamieson, Donna Edelman and Gabrielle Collins.

Service Details: Visiting hours will be held at the Parker Funeral Home 35 Franklin St. Lynn on Wednesday from 3:00 – 6:00 PM, to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Funeral Services will be Private; burial will follow in Puritan Lawn Park.
