Dorothy M. (Baker) Allen

Dorothy M. Allen, age 88 years, of Lynn died Tuesday April 23rd at the Kaplan Family Hospice House after a brief illness. Born in Lynn she was the daughter of the late Corydon and Mildred (Dager) Baker. She attended Lynn schools and graduated from Lynn English High School, Class of 1950. Dot was employed at Premier Shoe Goods and H & R Block in Lynn for many years. She was a member of the former Broadway United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir. Dorothy was a very social person and was an active member of the St. Stephens’ Tower community.

She is survived by her son Mark T. Allen and his husband Joe Morin, two sisters Norma Baker of Las Vegas, Marilyn Wall of Salem, her very close brother-in-law and sister-in-law Ron and Alice Allen of Lynn, and many nieces and nephews.

Service Details: Graveside services will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery 145 Boston St. Lynn on Saturday at 11:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Please meet at the Boston St. Gate at 10:45 AM. Family requests memorial donations in Dorothy’s name be made to the Kaplan Family Hospice House 78 Liberty St. Danvers, Ma 01923.
