Daniel Soper

Daniel Soper, age 62 of Lynn died Sunday Dec. 18th, at the Royal Meadow View Center in North Reading after a lengthy illness. He was the son of Jean Marie (Bernard) Soper of Lynn and the late Harold George Soper. Dan attended Lynn schools and graduated from Lynn Classical High School, Class of 1978. He was employed as a meter reader for Lynn Water and Sewer until he retired. He was a member and Past Master of the former Golden Fleece Lodge A. F. & A. M., and a member of Ascendus Lodge A. F. & A. M.  in Lynn. Dan loved cooking, flowers, antiques, reading and traveling especially to Newfoundland with his parents and Cost Rica with his friends. He also enjoyed many summers in Ogunquit, Maine with his close friends.

In addition to his mother he is survived by three brothers Ronald and his wife Kym Soper of Manchester, CT, Kenneth and his wife Donna Soper of Peabody, Keith and his wife Laura Soper of Danvers, one sister Judy and her husband John Geary of Lynn, and many nieces and nephews.

A gathering of friends and family will be on Wednesday at the Parker Funeral Home 35 Franklin St. Lynn, from 11:00 – 12:00 PM followed by a memorial service at 12:00 PM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Please make memorial donations in Dan’s memory to the Shriners Hospital, or St. Jude.
