Daniel (Danny) Krochmal, age 73, of Lynn passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday July 17th. Born October 23rd, 1948 he was the son of the late Andrew and Rita (Niebryzdowski) Krochmal, Sr. Danny was born and raised in Lynn where he attended Lynn schools, graduating from Lynn Classical in 1966. Danny loved working with his hands and chose to become a master carpenter after graduating from the Wentworth Institute of Technology. From the start, Danny had the honor of working side by side with his father, Andy. He worked for Frasca Construction, was a member of the Local 339, and before his retirement he worked for Alpine Construction. Danny’s craftsmanship can be found on homes and buildings anywhere from Cape Cod to the coast of Maine, and many places in between. Danny loved Harleys and in his younger years he could be found on weekends riding with friends throughout New England. If he wasn’t on his Harley, he could be found fishing for tuna. His love for all things nautical was apparent from his spending time at the Lynn Yacht Club, to fishing with his brothers and cousin, Darryl (and DJ, too). Danny enjoyed spending time going to New Hampshire with Bruce. Bruce was his brother-in-law, but to Danny it was just “Brother.” Danny was a lifelong fan of the New England Patriots. He enjoyed Budweiser, Rock and Roll, and scratch tickets but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his pride and joy, his daughter and grandson, also known as “Motormouth” and “Motormouth 2.0.” He is survived by his only child, Danielle Thompson and her son Camden Andrew Thompson both of Eaton, NH; his two sisters, Nancy and her husband Paul Kaminski of West Peabody and Andrea and her husband Bruce Fisher of Lynn; his niece and nephews: Gregory Krochmal Jr, Kristie Lee Kaminski, Dr. Justin Kaminski, and Major Jared Kaminski. Danny was especially proud of his youngest nephew, Major Jared Kaminski of the United States Air Force. Danny was predeceased by his brothers Andrew Krochmal Jr., Gregory Krochmal Sr., and Kenneth Krochmal. Danny leaves behind, and will be missed by, friends too numerous to mention by name. To honor Danny you may attend the service or grab a Budweiser, turn on some Bob Seger, and raise a toast to celebrate his life!
Service Details: Graveside services will be held at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park on August 3, 2022 at 10am followed by a celebration of life at the Lynn Yacht Club, relatives and friends are invited to attend.
