Carl A. Benson

Carl A. Benson, age 81, of Lynn died at his home on Thursday Aug. 17th after a brief illness. Born in Lynn he was the son of the Carl V. and Edith I. (Johnson) Benson, and grandson of the late Leander and Emma Johnson. Carl attended Lynn schools and was a member of the Lynn English High School Band Boosters Association. He was an avid Lynn English Sports fan and attended many sporting events. He was a longtime member of the First Lutheran Church.

He is survived by one Nephew Grant A. R. Bay of New York City, and was also brother of the late Karen Bay.

Funeral services will be held at the Parker Funeral Home 35 Franklin St. Lynn on Monday at 1:00 PM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Please make donations in Carl’s name to the First Lutheran Church 280 Broadway Lynn, MA 01904.
