Barbara Ann (Thyberg) Duffy

Barbara A. Duffy, age 76, of Beverly, formerly of Lynn, died Tuesday March 26, at Salem Hospital after a brief period of declining health. Born in Lynn she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Shirley (Reagan) Thyberg. She attended Lynn schools and graduated from Lynn Classical High School, Class of 1965. Barbara was employed as an accountant at the Scleroderma Foundation for many years until she retired. Following her retirement, she was employed for several years at the Village Store in Apple Village. She was an active lifelong member of the First Lutheran Church in Lynn, where she was a member of the Chattering Crafters, sang in the choir, and served on the Church Council. Barbara enjoyed crafts, watching movies and playing Bingo.

She is survived by one daughter Courtney A. Duffy of Beverly, one niece Laurie Thyberg, and two nephews John Thyberg, Jr. and Michael Leslie. She was also sister of the late John Thyberg and Nancy Leslie.

Service Details:  Memorial visiting hour will be held at the First Lutheran Church 280 Broadway Lynn on Saturday April 6th from 10:00 – 11:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend.
