Thomas “Tucker” A. Nicholson, Jr., age 75 years of Georgetown, formerly of Lynn and Barrington, NH, died unexpectedly, Monday Feb. 12, at his home. He was the husband of the late Judy (Garland) Nicholson with whom he shared over 25 years of marriage.
Born in Lynn he was the son of the late Thomas A. and Eleanor (Fuller) Nicholson, Sr. He attended Lynn schools. Tucker was employed as a boiler maker at the Charlestown Naval Yard, and the Portsmouth Naval Yard until he retired. He also owned and operated Carol’s Stamp and Coin Shop on State St. in Lynn from 1974 -1984. Tucker enjoyed traveling, collecting stamps and coins, and cooking.
He is survived by four sons Wayne H. Nicholson of Rowley, Thomas Nicholson of Exeter, NH, Nathan Nicholson of Miami, FL, Alex J. Nicholson of Summerville, SC, four daughters Lorrie Colclough of Saugus, Kelley Hall of Claremont, NH, Larissa Combe of York, ME, Amy Nicholson of Newmarket, NH, one brother Paul Nicholson of Wakefield, NH, three sisters Sandra Prunier of Lynn, Jackie Hudson of Lynn, Karen Nicholson of Georgetown, 24 grandchildren, one great granddaughter, many nieces and nephews, his two former wives Gail Sweeney of Peabody and Carol Hunt of Berwick, ME. His dog and companion Bailey. He was also brother of the late Michael Nicholson.
Services Details: Tucker’s visiting hours will be held at the Parker Funeral Home 35 Franklin St. Lynn on Tuesday from 10:00 – 12:00 PM, followed by funeral services at 12:00 PM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Please make memorial donations in Tuckers name to a charity of your choice.
