She was the devoted wife of 28 years to John J. McLaughlin and loving mother to Salvatore Russo III, John L. McLaughlin, and Alysha J. Russo and her wife Caitlin. Born in Salem on November 20th 1957, she was raised by her parents Joan and Harold Samuelson in Lynn, Ma and graduated from Lynn Technical High School in 1975.

She found great joy and endless love in her husband, partner and companion John. They loved traveling with their longtime friends and their families, and enjoyed many Caribbean and Mediterranean cruises. They also enjoyed the many camping and RV trips they took while raising their three children.

During her short illness, Sharron fought valiantly against leaving her family and loved ones too soon. Sharron’s top priority in life was creating a warm and welcoming home for all, and those who knew her well enjoyed her skilled cooking and baking which she was happy to share. She took pride in making cakes for her large family, her most prized creation being the beautiful wedding cake she created for her daughter Alysha’s marriage to her wife Caitlin. The event was a milestone in her life and her radiant smile lit the occasion.

Sharron was a warm and loving person who always thought about others and was very special in that way. She loved to do little thoughtful things that often go overlooked in this very fast paced life and always found the time to think of others.

Sharron enjoyed music concerts with her family and the occasional trip to the casinos proved her to be a lucky player. She had a love for dogs, especially her little dog, Roxie, who would often times be found cuddled up in her lap. Recently, Sharron explored her creativity in paint nights with her sisters, and pottery classes with her daughter.

Sharron leaves her parents Joan and Harold Samuelson, her siblings Brenda Martin, and husband Vernon Dinnall, Jolene Lang and husband Gary, Harold “Mugsy” Samuelson and wife Sharon, Melanie Fleming and husband John “Mike”, Marina Samuelson, and Janelle McSweeney and husband Dan.

She is further survived by her sister in law Susan Nelson and husband Bob, sister in law Nancy Johnson and late husband Steven, and many loved and loving nieces and nephews.
