Roland G. Chase, of Lynn, age 93 years died Tuesday Dec. 11th at Windsor Place in Wilmington after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Arlene Rachel (Rose) Chase, with whom he shared 48 years of marriage.
Born in Marblehead he was the son of the late George L. and Edith (Burridge) Chase. He attended Marblehead schools and graduated from Marblehead High School, Class of 1943. He also graduated from the American Institute of Banking. Roland was employed at Eastern Bank as a Vice President and Comptroller until he retired in 1989. He was a member of the North Shore Rock and Mineral Club. Roland spent his summers at his camp in Rangeley Plantation, ME.
He is survived by one daughter Lois Jean and her husband Douglas Dodge of Burlington, one son John W. and his wife Linda Chase of Poland, ME, five grandchildren Dustin Dodge, Donovan Dodge, April McCracken, Meggin Ball, Zack Chase, six great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was also brother of the late Lewis Chase and Dorothy Chase.
Service Details: Visiting hours will be held at the Parker Funeral Home 35 Franklin St. Lynn on Monday from 11:00 – 12:30 PM followed by Funeral Services at 12:30 PM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Please make memorial contributions to the Aleppo Shriners Transportation Fund, 99 Fordham Road Wilmington, MA 01887.
