Our deepest and sincerest condolences to the family. Words alone can not ease the pain when grieving the loss of a love one. The Bible provides comfort during these difficult times. Revelation 21:3-4 states, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away". May God give you and your family comfort in your loving memories and in His promise that soon we will never experience losing our loved ones in death and we will be able to see them again once they resurrected as per John 5:28-29. May these words give you a new hope, with deepest sympathy and warmth of heart.

I am so sorry to hear about Coach Ray's passing. I was on his first swim team at Salem High and have always held him in such high regard! His good humor and patience and sportmanship taught me lessons that stayed with me and that I have tried to pass on to my children. He was such a down to earth, good man. You have my thoughts and prayers.

I never met the man but will be eternally grateful that he took two young ladies who had lost fathers to the Father-Daughter Dance at Regis. You left them with great memories. Thank you so much!

My deepest heartfelt condolences to Ray’s family for your loss. I remember Ray fondly and we shared some great times together coaching at Regis College.Ray always wore a warm and engaging smile that brought happiness with him everywhere he went. I have some wonderful memories of adventures we took together on training trips to Puerto Rico with the swim team and team gatherings at my grandfather’s old house in Weston and Ray’s house up on the Northshore. Ray was a special man who acted as a mentor, friend and co-worker to me. His friendly demeanor helped him reach and guide all of the swimmers he trained. Ray and I always joked about getting the last word in and I guess in winning I also lose. “RAY YOU WILL BE MISSED”

Matthew and Katie I don’t know if you remember me, Jackie I think you will. taught both of you swimming lessons the first summer that the Regis pool was open in the summer of 1982. I think Katie you were 5 and Matthew was 2. That’s the summer I met your dad and I then joined the swim team at Regis. Your dad was way more than a swim coach to me. He was a great mentor and dear friend. I am so shocked by his death and I would like to extend my deepest sympathy. Your dad had such a strong positive impact on my life. I am very blessed to have known him and I am a better person because of him. I am going to try to make it to the service. I am so sorry for your loss. He was the most influential person in my college years.

So sorry to hear of Ray's passing. I have such fond memories of him and the swim team experience at Regis College in the mid 1980's. My sister Mary and I were both on the team together. Ray was like a second father to all of the swimmers. Just a genuine, kind man and coach who encouraged ALL swimmers...both slow and fast to reach their best potential. His giant smile and love for his own family was always evident. A true gentleman. He will be missed dearly. So glad he was my swim coach, I feel blessed. So sorry for your loss. May his his twinkling eyes shine upon his family forever.

I am so sorry for your loss. I graduated from Regis College in 1989. I loved to swim laps but was not a swim team type of swimmer. Ray encouraged me to get my lifeguard certification and I went on to be a water safety instructor. His encouragement allowed for many summer jobs of happiness. He took the time to encourage me I am very grateful. May you be comforted by happy memories and know that he made a difference in the world.

I was a student in Ray’s intermediate swimming class my freshman year at Regis in 1987. He was so encouraging and made the class so fun. He always remembered me when he saw me around campus after that and he always had a smile. My sincere condolences to his family, he was a kind man and a great teacher.

I was a swim team manager from 1990-1994. Ray's sense of humor and dedication to the swim team was amazing. I'm going to have the waiters sing happy birthday to you the next time I'm out to eat, Ray. Rest in peace. Prayers, thoughts, and love to Ray's friends and family.

I am at loss of words with this. Mr. Harrington you were such a great man. My freshman year wasn't that great of a year but you always made sure to put a smile on my face. And we had a fun time cracking jokes. If it wasn't for you I probably would have given up on graduating high school because of the MCAS but you and the rest of the NST faculty pushed and shoved for that appealment so I would be able to graduate. After I found out I had got the appeal I found out I had passed mcas and you were so proud of me. Ill never forget you and your wise sense of humor . May you rest in peace.
