Michael Gardiner Malloch

April 29, 1945 ~ February 18, 2018 (age 72)

Michael Gardiner Malloch, age 72 years, passed peacefully on Sunday, February 18, 2018, in Revere, at the home where he was born and raised.  He was surrounded by his loving family.  He leaves his high school sweetheart, Judy (Avola) Malloch with whom he shared 52 years of marriage, his beloved daughter Susan (Malloch) Ryan, her husband Jason and his cherished grandson Jack Michael Ryan.

He was the son of the late Delmas J. and Alice (Thompson) Malloch. Mike was a graduate of Revere High School, Class of 1963. He worked and co-owned The Pant Shop on Munroe St. in Lynn for many years and later owned and operated Harbor Covers in Lynn where he “made clothes for boats.”  He was a former member of The Coast Guard Auxiliary, an active member of The Point of Pines Yacht Club and loved his side job as a car transporter at Hertz Corp. in East Boston.

Mike had a full life.  He had a passion for food and good Scotch, Willie’s Roadhouse, the New England Patriots and anything to do with Maine, especially Eastport.  He could fix anything, he had a unique sense of humor and he always put his family first.

He will be greatly missed by his family, extended family and friends from near and far.  A special thanks goes to MGH Ellison 19 and The Leonard Florence Center for Living in Chelsea for their extraordinary care.  His family asks that you celebrate his life by raising a glass in his honor.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in his memory to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St. Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.

Funeral services will be held at the Parker Funeral Home 35 Franklin St. Lynn on Fri, Feb 23rd at 11:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours are on Thurs, Feb 22nd from 4:00 – 8:00 PM.
