Marvin W. McCabe

Marvin W. McCabe, age 64 years, of Lynn, died Wednesday April 11th, at Grosvenor Park Health Care in Salem after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Barbara L. (Copley) McCabe with whom he shared 35 years of marriage.

Born in Peterborough, NH he was the son of the late Marvin G. McCabe and Irene (Paul) Poisson. He attended schools in Lynn and Cambridge. Marvin served in the U. S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was employed as a dry wall installer and plasterer, and was a property manager for the Lynn Shelter Association until he retired. He enjoyed going on trips especially to Ireland. He also enjoyed Boston sports teams.

In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons Ryan W. McCabe of Lynn, Patrick D. McCabe and his fiancée Betsy Sanchez of Lynn, two daughters Shelley M. D’Amico of Seabrook, NH, Lisa Vasilopoulos of Saugus, one brother Arthur and his wife Theresa Poisson of Lynn, three sisters Mary “Cuddles” Rodrigues of Lynn, Ruth Ann and her husband Leo Estabrook of Gloucester, Jane and her husband Michael Bradley of Lynn, two grandchildren Karrie and her husband Justin Murphy of Seabrook, NH, Haley D’Amico of Seabrook, NH, and many nieces and nephews. He was also brother of the late Mike “Hockey” Conroy, Patricia Diaz, and Donna Conroy. 

A Celebration of Marvin’s life will be held at a time and date to be announced.
