Martha A. (Faus) Parish

Martha A. Parish, age 88 years, died Friday June 2nd, at Continuing Care at Brooksby Village in Peabody, after a lengthy illness. Born in Lynn she was the daughter of the late Harold T. and Viola (Murray) Faus. She attended Lynn schools and graduated from Lynn English High School, Class of 1946. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Tuft’s University, Class of 1950. Martha was employed as a Real Estate Agent for Huppich and Ring Real Estate, and she retired from A. James Lynch Real Estate in Lynn. She was also a substitute teacher in the Lynn Schools. She resided in Lynn, Lynnfield, and Gloucester, and had a summer camp on Half Moon Lake in New Hampshire. She was a member of the former Broadway United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday School Teacher and was active in Bible Study. She was active in the Lynn English Alumni Association, and was a member of the Lynnfield Community Church.

She is survived by one son David J. and his Wife Han Parish of Winthrop, one daughter Lorraine and her husband Michael Alberi of Cape Elizabeth, ME, one brother Lawrence Faus of Messina, NY, one sister Betty Cheater of Naples, FL, five grandchildren, five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Service Details: Memorial services will be held at Grace United Methodist Church 374 Broadway Lynn on Saturday July1st, to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment of ashes will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Please make memorial donations in Martha’s name to Northeast Animal Shelter 347 Highland Ave. Salem, MA 01970.
