Ell G. Davis

Ell G. Davis, age 75 years, of Lynn, died Wednesday, Aug. 23rd, at Care one in Peabody after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of the late June E. (Bowers) Davis with whom he shared 30 years of marriage. Born in Lynn he was the son of the late Merton E. and Ruth E. (Shipley) Davis. He attended Lynn schools and graduated from Lynn Classical High School, Class of 1960. He went to Boston University, and several trade schools. Ell was an automobile mechanic, and worked at several local garages. He enjoyed roller skating, collecting guns and writing poetry.

He is survived his fiancée Jean Mattchio of Saugus, two nieces Kelly Clark of Lynn, Kerry and her husband Russell Upton of Lynn, one nephew Thomas Bowers of Salem, and one cousin Mickey Tillson and his family of Raynham.

Services Details: A funeral service will be held at the Parker Funeral Home 35 Franklin St. Lynn on Tuesday at 10:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting are Monday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Please make memorial donations in Ell’s name to the Salvation Army 1 Franklin St. Lynn, MA  01901.
