Dorothy Ruth (McCarthy) Panias

Dorothy (McCarthy) Panias, age 86 of Lynn, died on March 29, 2018 after a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of Charles Panias with whom she shared 66 years of marriage. Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Lillian (Cashman) McCarthy.  She was a graduate of Lynn Classical, Class of 1949.

Dorothy, a loving mother and grandmother, enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed travelling, cooking, playing cards and trips to the casino. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Ernie Panias and his wife Evelyn of Lynn, Susan Mulloy and her husband Jerry of Middleton and Dianna Chakoutis and her late husband Nick. Dorothy is also survived by one remaining sister, Bertha Grant and by her eight grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, April 5th at 10:00 AM followed by a service at 11:30 at the Parker Funeral Home, 35 Franklin Street, Lynn. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
