Charles S. Fowler

Charles S. Fowler, of Lynn, age 89 years, died Sunday at the Ocean Side Nursing Home in Hampton, NH after a brief illness. Born in Lynn he was the son of the late Sarah W. Ferguson. He attended Lynn schools and graduated from Lynn Classical High School, Class of 1945. Charles was employed as a Department Manager in the Shipping Department for Polaroid Corporation in Cambridge, Waltham and Westwood until he retired in 1982. He was a lifetime member of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Memorial Church, where he sang in the choir and served on the Vestry. He was a 50 year member of the Joselin Diabetes Club and a member of Mt Carmel Lodge A. F. & A. M. He was a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and helped build many houses in the Lynn area. Charlie was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Patriots and the Red Sox.

He is survived by many nieces and nephews and many grandnieces and grandnephews. He was also brother of the late Kenneth Ferguson, Alexandria Messina, Bernice Ferguson, Annie Ferguson, and Johanna Mulcahy.

Service Details: Services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM, at the Parker Funeral Home 35 Franklin St. Lynn, followed by a funeral in St. Stephen’s Memorial Episcopal Church at 11:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours are on Wednesday from 4:00 – 7:00 PM. Mt Carmel Lodge will hold Masonic Services on Wednesday at 6:30 PM.
