Beth E. Parrott, age 91 years, of Lynn, died Saturday, March 17th, at the Devereux House in Marblehead, after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Stanley W. Parrott with whom she shared 67 years of marriage.
Born in Lynn she was the daughter of the late James E. and H. Dorothy (Durkee) Robbins. Beth attended Lynn schools and graduated Lynn English High School, Class of 1944. She also graduated from Burdett Business School. She was employed at the General Electric for several years. She was a longtime member of the Washington Street Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school, and was also a member of the Beulah McCoy Circle. She was a member of the Rainbow Girls.
She is survived by one son Stephen J. and his wife Cathy Parrott of Derry, NH, three daughters Joan L. and her husband Bruce Phillips of Danvers, Cynthia D, and her husband Neal Salloway of Peabody, Barbara J. and her husband Peter Saras of Lynn, one sister Linda Graninger of York, ME, ten grandchildren Dr. Jason and his wife Dr. Betsy Phillips of MN, Michael Phillips and his wife Megan McAra of CA, David and his wife Dawn Phillips of NH, Caitlin Saras of NV, Christopher and Gregory Saras of Lynn, Daniel and his wife Melissa Parrott, Christina, and David Parrott all of NH, Timothy and his wife Chrissy of IL, ten great grandchildren Ethan and Ainsley Phillips of Eden Prairie, MN, Maya, Walter and Alexander Phillips all of CA, Wyatt and Tobin Phillips of Hollis, NH, Logan, Eliott, and Wesley Parrott of Raymond, NH, and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Mary Gokas, James Robbins and David Robbins.
Service Details: Friends and family are invited to attend graveside services at the Pine Grove Cemetery Fireman’s Lot at 10:00 AM and a memorial service at the Washington Street Baptist Church on Thursday at 11:00 AM.
