John Murray was unwavering in his commitment to social justice for those who were disadvantaged and in the minority, even though at times this might have put him at risk. Conversation with John always left one feeling uplifted and positive. His personal example will always be an inspiration. John, you will ever be in our hearts and minds.

A SPATHIPHYLLUM was sent on July 29, 2017

John, I will miss you and our conversations about life; you taught me a lot and we had so much in common. I am relieved to know you are now at peace. I was always touched by the fact that whenever you ended phone calls with one of your kids you ended saying "I love you." You were a good Dad. RIP

Dear Susan and Murray family,
My deepest condolences on the passing of your father. I knew him from Church and always thought he was the most compassionate person. He always had a smile and kind word and his involvement with so many causes amazed me. He will be missed by all of you, I'm sure.

Dear Susan: I'm sad to learn that your dear father has died. You have been such a devoted daughter. I recall his kindliness at church and appreciated your father's sincere condolences when my dear father died, whom he had worked with at the GE. My heart goes out to you and your family whom I'm looking forward to seeing at his memorial.
