Ella Mae (MacNeill) Sewell

Ella Mae Sewell, age 84 years, of Lynn, died Wednesday at her home, surrounded by her family after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Robert F. Sewell, with whom she shared 33 years of marriage. Born in Lynn she was the daughter of the late Neil and Ella (Parsons) MacNeill. She attended Lynn schools and graduated from Lynn English High School, Class of 1951. She was employed as a Data Entry Operator for Landon Associates and a Customer Service Representative for Sears until she retired. A lifelong resident of Lynn she spent her winters in Bangor, Maine. Ella liked going to Foxwoods, and Hollywood Slots in Bangor. She enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles.

She is survived by one son Steven R. LaFollette of Bangor, ME, three daughters Karen S. Giardina of Lynn, Dawn E. Higgins of Reno, NV, Vicki L. DiGuardo of Tewskbury, two brothers Otis MacNeill of Little Rock AK, Donald MacNeill of Orlando, FL, two sisters Frances Perkins of Oxford, ME, Linda Thistle of Lynn, fifteen grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was also mother of the late Mark A. LaFollette, and sister of the late Priscilla “Libby” Thistle, Mary Chandler, Marjorie Pelkey, Jean Savio and William MacNeill.

Service Details:  Funeral services will be held at the Parker Funeral Home 35 Franklin St. Lynn on Saturday at 10:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will follow in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park. Visiting hours are on Friday from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 PM. Please make memorial donations in Ella’s name to All Care Hospice 210 Market St. Lynn, MA 01901.
