Elizabeth A. Schaeffer, age 91 years, of Cincinnati, OH, formerly of Lynn and Peabody, died Saturday June 10th at Carriage Court Assisted Living after a lengthy illness. She was the former wife of the late Richard Schaeffer and partner of the late John Groz.  Born in Watertown she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Bannister) Ainscough. She attended Lynn schools and graduated from Lynn Classical High School, Class of 1943. She was employed as an Administrative Assistant for the Federal Government for many years.   She then was a Custom Inspector in Canada for two years and then in Boston.  She lived in Lynn and Peabody for most of her life then to Florida for the winter months until moving to Cincinnati four years ago. She enjoyed playing Bingo, trips to Foxwoods and playing cribbage. She was a member of the Cribbage Club.

She is survived by three daughters June and her husband Huck Hudspeth of Sacramento, CA, Janice Johnson and her husband Bob Henry of Cincinnati, OH, Jill and her husband Will Backstrom of Danvers, five grandchildren Nicole, Michael and Mark Backstrom, Tara Zellner, Justin Johnson, and seven great grandchildren. She is also sister of the late Clara McCarron.

Service Details: Funeral services will be held at the Parker Funeral Home 35 Franklin St. Lynn on Thursday at 1:00 PM.  Private service for family only.  Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Please make memorial donations in Elizabeth's name to Hospice of Cincinnati 4310 Cooper Rd. Cincinnati, OH 45242 or a charity of you choice.
