Barbara T. Cushing

Barbara T. Cushing, age 91 years of Ipswich and Osprey, FL, formerly of Lynn and Woburn, died Wednesday in Sarasota, FL after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Jay H. Cushing with whom she shared 47 years of marriage.  Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Eldon and Jeanne (Hatt) Outhouse.  She was a former member of the First Church of Christ Congregational in Lynn and Grace Chapel in Lexington.  Barbara enjoyed many crafts and was a talented oil paint artist. 

She is survived by Sharon and Jan Cushing both of Osprey, FL and Ipswich, two sons Barry J. and his wife Karen Cushing of North Port, FL, William H. and his wife Karen Parsons of Salem, four grandchildren: Kristina Cushing de Recinos of Silver Spring, MD, Jay M. Cushing of Arlington, VA, Brittany Parsons of Cincinnati, OH, Daniel Parsons of Elkins, AK, 2 great-grandchildren and 18 nieces and nephews.

Service Details: Funeral services will be held at the Parker Funeral Home 35 Franklin St. Lynn on Thursday at 10:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will follow in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park. Visiting hours are on Wednesday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM.
